Alanson Peckham Lathrop attended the public schools of Norwich, CT,and Norwich Academy. Early in his business career he becameassociated with the American Light and Traction Company, eventuallybecoming president of the firm and finally chairman of the board.
Alanson was a member of the Society of Colonial Wars, the New EnglandSociety in the City of New York, the Metropolitan Club, the BankersClub of America, and the Sleepy Hollow Country Club. He lived formany years at the Savoy Plaza Hotel.
